THE PAST IS NOT A PLACE TO YEARN FOR, BUT A PLACE TO LEARN FROM.

Whenever I ask people what they think is the most iconic date in English history they usually answer 1066. The next question is, what do you know about it? The answer to that question is invariably not a great deal: The Battle of Hastings, William and Harold, arrow in the eye, possibly the Bayeux Tapestry, and not much else. It is that reaction that inspired me to write The Testament of  Leofric the Black.

This first book of a trilogy, it covers the time period between 1040-57. It has been six years in the writing, although the concept and planning have taken a lot longer. Any comments are much appreciated either to this website or my email leofric_@hotmail.com
